Wade Guyton (b.1972) is an American artist best known for his digital paintings on canvases created using technology like inkjet printers and scanners. 

Guyton's pioneering body of work explores the relationship between image and technology; specifically image reproduction and art appropriation. Formal in aesthetic, Guyton filters Modernism's ideals through a contemporary lens. 

This work is a fantastic example of Guyton's trailblazing vision and aesthetic. Black monochromatic stripes and circles have been inkjet printed overtop of a ripped-out book page. In 2003 Guyton's first "drawings" were of ripped-out book pages printed over in black ink, a technique which has remained an integral part of his practice over the years. 

In 2012 the Whitney Museum of Art (NYC) held a major retrospective of Guyton's work. His art can also be found in the permanent collections of some of the most prestigious museums globally including: The Museum of Modern Art (NY), Centre Georges Pompidou (Paris), the Fine Arts Museum Basel (aka Kunstmuseum Basel), and the Carnegie Museum of Art (Pittsburgh) among many others.
